  • 1 large onion, chopped

  • 1 green bell pepper, diced

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

🍅 Liquids & Tomatoes:

  • 2 cans (14 oz each) diced tomatoes

  • 1 can (15 oz) tomato sauce

  • 1 can (6 oz) tomato paste

  • 2 cups beef broth (or water)

🫘 Beans:

  • 1 can kidney beans, drained

  • 1 can black beans, drained

  • 1 can pinto beans, drained

🌶️ Seasoning Mix:

  • 2 tablespoons chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon cumin

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon oregano

  • ½ teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

  • Salt and pepper to taste

🧀 Optional Toppings:

  • Shredded cheddar cheese

  • Sour cream

  • Diced green onions

  • Fresh cilantro

  • Corn chips or jalapeños

👩‍🍳 Instructions

Step 1: Brown the Meat

  1. In a large stockpot or Dutch oven, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned.

  2. Drain excess fat and add chopped onions, garlic, and bell pepper.

  3. Sauté until softened (about 5 minutes).

Step 2: Build the Chili Base

  1. Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and broth.

  2. Add all the seasonings — chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, cayenne, salt, and pepper.

  3. Mix well and bring to a boil.

Step 3: Add the Beans & Simmer

  1. Add all the drained beans to the pot.

  2. Reduce heat to low and let the chili simmer for at least 45–60 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  3. The longer it cooks, the richer and deeper the flavor becomes.

Step 4: Serve & Enjoy

Ladle into bowls and top with cheese, sour cream, and a sprinkle of green onions.
Serve with cornbread, tortilla chips, or a side of rice for the ultimate comfort meal.

💡 Pro Tips

  • For extra flavor, add a splash of Worcestershire sauce or a touch of brown sugar.

  • Make it spicy with jalapeños or hot sauce.

  • Let it rest for 15 minutes before serving — flavors deepen as it cools.

🧾 Storage & Freezing

  • Store leftovers in airtight containers for up to 4 days in the fridge.

  • Freeze for up to 3 months — chili reheats beautifully!
