🥩 Try My Version of Beef Asado 🤎

If you’re craving something deeply flavorful and comforting, my version of Beef Asado is the answer! Tender beef slow-cooked in a rich, savory-sweet sauce — this Filipino-inspired dish melts in your mouth and pairs perfectly with steamed rice. 🤤✨

🧂 Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs beef chuck or brisket, cut into chunks

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 3 tbsp vinegar

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 5 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 bay leaf

  • 1 tsp black pepper

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 1 tbsp tomato paste

  • 2 tbsp oil

  • Optional: potatoes or bell peppers for extra flavor

🍳 Instructions:

  1. Marinate: Combine soy sauce, vinegar, sugar, garlic, and pepper. Add beef and marinate for at least 1 hour (overnight for best flavor).

  2. Brown the beef: Heat oil in a pot and sear the beef until golden on all sides.

  3. Add aromatics: Add onions and sauté until fragrant.

  4. Simmer: Pour in the marinade, tomato paste, broth, and bay leaf. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, and simmer for 1.5–2 hours until beef is tender and sauce thickens.

  5. Serve: Serve hot with steamed white rice or mashed potatoes.

💡 Tips:

  • Add pineapple juice for a sweeter twist.

  • Garnish with green onions for color and freshness.
